Easy to Make Recipes using Organic Virgin Coconut Oil

“The secret ingredient is always coconut oil”. Be it health, skin, or hair coconut oil is an all-in-one solution for any of those problems. For ages, it has been known, for its numerous benefits which make it the best ingredient for cooking. Organic virgin coconut oil is known for its nutritious values and its natural flavor. 

Check out a few simple, easy recipes that might help you to use virgin coconut oil in yummy and
healthy ways. 

1). Banana and Coconut Oil Smoothie.

Having a banana is always a healthy choice and adding coconut milk enhances its taste and benefits. This smoothie is quick and easy to make.

2 cups of purified water/almond milk 
1-2 small bananas (frozen) 
2 teaspoon of virgin coconut oil
5-6 cubes of Ice 

Blend all the ingredients in the blender at high speed for a minimum of 40-60 seconds. You can add cream if you like. Your tasty smoothie is ready. 

2). Chocolate Fudge

Who doesn’t love to eat chocolate fudges? Here is a simple recipe to satisfy your midnight chocolate cravings. Chocolate fudges are like small cubes of hard chocolate. You can easily make them at home. 

½ cup of melted virgin coconut oil
¼ cup of honey of maple syrup
½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Pinch of salt 
Finely chopped nuts of your choice
Dry crushed coconut powder (optional) 

In a bowl whisk all the ingredients together until the mixture is very smooth in texture. Pour the whole mixture into a small square dish. Refrigerate the mixture until solid, and you can garnish it with coconut powder. If you want it to set quickly, you can put it in the deep freezer for ½ hour. Cut it into small square pieces, and it’s ready to be served. 

3). No-Bake Cookies. 

These no-bake cookies are made using organic coconut oil. You can make them in no time with minimal ingredients.

3 cups oats
½ cup of coconut oil
½ cups cashew milk/almond milk
½ cup peanut butter
1&½ cup raw sugar 
¼ cup of cocoa powder
½ teaspoon salt 
1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 

In a skillet add coconut oil, peanut butter, raw sugar, milk, cocoa powder, and salt and stir it constantly, on medium heat. When it comes together, stir it for another exact 4 minutes.  Remove from heat, add vanilla extract and mix it carefully. Add oats and coat then well in the mixture. 

On a counter place a wax paper and scoop the mixture in the shape of round cookies at a proper distance and let it cool down. Your no-bake cookies with healthy oats and coconut oil are ready. 

4). Popcorns 

We all love flavored popcorns. Munching them while watching movies or carrying it on a day trip but popcorns made in butter seems a very unhealthy choice as it contains lots of fats. So to rescue it and add a different flavor here is a recipe to make popcorns in organic virgin coconut oil. They are much healthier and much tastier than ordinary popcorn. 

3 tablespoons of coconut oil
¼ cup of popcorn grains 
½ teaspoon peri-peri powder (optional) 
Salt to taste. 

Add oil and popcorn grains to the 3 quarter pot, and you can also use a tall cooker. Cover it with a lid. If you are using a cooker, then make sure you cover it with a plain lid rather than a tight whistle one. Keep it on low flame for 3-5 minutes. Pour it into a large bowl and sprinkle some peri-peri powder and salt. You are set to munch as much as you like. 

5). Fried Potatoes

In many cultures coconut oil is considered organic and auspicious hence it is used in a lot of fasting food recipes. One such recipe is coconut oil fried potatoes. 

1to2 potatoes, (boiled peeled and chopped in small rough square pieces)
3 tablespoons of virgin coconut oil
¼ teaspoon of black pepper (if permitted as per fasting culture) 
Salt as per taste.

Take a pan, let some coconut oil melt, and heat. Add potato pieces, mix it properly, add salt, pepper and saute it for 3 to 5 minutes. You are ready to serve them hot. If you prefer eating on a random day, you can all add other spices such as red chilli powder, turmeric and serve, them with sauce or chutney.
